The Office 12 Blog
If you're wanting to catch up on the hullabaloo about the Office 12 redesign, Jensen Harris has just reorganized his links and provided good access to summary articles on his blog. See An Office User Interface Blog.
Also, I've been finding the Excel redesign posts interesting over here; I especially like the highlight-and-get-instant-math, and the little color bars indicating relative value differences at a glance in the spreadsheet. Lots of good stuff going on.

I"m sure there are Office improvements in the offing, but I live in a much more bipolar world that more or less is outside of the Officesphere.
Most of my documents are very simple and Word, with all of its bells and whistles, gets in my way to the point of being offensive. I tend to use Pages or Nisus (I'm still on the fence between those two) so I can just write.
When I need precision and real typesetting it is LaTeX. I can easily move the equations to Keynote for talks (Keynote doesn't get in my way like PowerPoint).
Spreadsheets are something that I've not crossed paths with - Maple and Mathematica are my primary math tools. When I need back of the envelope calculations there are pencils and envelops as well as my slide rules.
I feel like a visitor looking at a different land where I hope I don't have to live when I look at Office ... It isn't that it is good or bad - it is just so foreign from my requirements.
